British Airways will offer free high-speed in-flight wifi through satellite deal
Passengers flying with the airline can soon enjoy high-speed internet onboard without charge due to a new partnership with the billionaire's space firm.
Complimentary and Quick Internet Across the Board
The airline announced that this no-cost, “reliable and lightning-fast” connectivity provision via the satellite provider is set to be accessible to passengers flying economy, business, or premium cabins from next month.
Broad Implementation Over Several Flight Operators
The holding firm of British Airways, IAG, announced it had finalized an deal with SpaceX to provide connectivity access for more than 500 planes within its airlines, which also include Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and the low-cost airline.
Seamless Internet from Boarding through Landing
The airline explained that the rollout of the system was included in a £7bn “upgrade” initiative that will deliver smooth wifi access for travelers starting at boarding to arrival, even when they are flying above oceans or isolated areas.

BA's management have been striving to improve British Airways again following a period with financial constraints, IT problems, labor disputes, plus mass redundancies.
BA noted that implementation with artificial intelligence had helped the airline to bring their punctuality at record highs since 2012.

Earlier this year, British Airways announced a jump in earnings for H1 of this year, helping to push the parent company profit upward.
International Airlines Group is due to release the results for Q3 recently on Friday.

This news comes days following wireless carrier Virgin Media O2 said it was working with Starlink to improve wireless service across remote areas across the United Kingdom, enabling customers to seamlessly connect mobile devices through space-based systems if there is no regular network coverage can be found.
