More than 250 Taken into Custody in Charlotte as Immigration Enforcement Intensifies
In excess of 250 individuals have been detained in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of continuing federal immigration enforcement actions, according to authority reports.

"We've witnessed masked, heavily armed personnel in tactical garb driving plain vehicles, selecting American citizens based on their appearance, utilizing racial discrimination and apprehending arbitrary people in public spaces," commented the chief executive. "This strategy is not strengthening our protection."

In a newly released declaration, a federal representative asserted that the campaign has resulted in the apprehension of "including the most threatening criminal unauthorized persons", including street gang participants.
Other persons arrested had been found guilty for diverse offenses, such as attacks against law enforcement personnel, operating vehicles under influence, theft and manipulating government documents, according to the authority.

Federal officials have not revealed how long the raids will continue. Chicago's crackdown commenced in September and remains active. Similar to other cities undergoing immigration measures, various foreign nationals in Charlotte are remaining indoors due to apprehension about federal authorities in the metropolitan area, according to regional news.
The top official mentioned he's tracking accounts that the campaign will move to Raleigh, a different North Carolina municipality, following.
"Yet again, I request federal agents to focus on aggressive offenders, not community members strolling along the avenue, attending religious services, or displaying seasonal displays," he stated.
